Steven A Mitchell

Mr. Steven A. Mitchell, 64, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died January 21, 2022. He was born September 17, 1957 in Port Chester to the late Andrew and Anne (nee Barz) Mitchell.  He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1975.  Steve was married to Maureen McKenna on November 19, 1978 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester.  He was the Director of Technological Science and Equipment Engineering for Fitness Showrooms in Poughkeepsie, NY for the last fourteen years, where he oversaw a team of ten technicians in the field and twelve office staff. Outside of work, Steve was well-known for his music. He was a talented musician who played with numerous bands throughout his life and has produced several studio recordings. Most importantly, Steve was a dedicated husband, father and friend.  He is survived by his devoted wife Maureen Mitchell of Port Chester, NY and his beloved children Jessica Mitchell of Port Chester, NY. and  Bryan Mitchell and his wife Jessica Hummel of Danbury, CT. A gathering will be held at Craft Memorial Home on Saturday, February 5th from 12pm to 2pm followed by a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Steve's name may be made to The Humane Society of Westchester in New Rochelle, NY.
