William E. Arnett, 85, a longtime resident of Rye Brook, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 15, 1935 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late John and Virginia Dunham Arnett. He was raised and educated in Washington, PA. Mr. Arnett served in the United States Coast Guard from 1953 to 1957 where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He married Frances Agostino on August 24, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Arnett was a retired purchasing agent for Edenwald Construction in Whitestone, NY. Bill was always there for his family, relatives, friends and colleagues. He supported not only his family, but all of those around him. He always found the time to help and to love. He was an avid reader, enjoyed doing the daily crossword and watching Jeopardy. His greatest joy in life was to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a parishioner of the Parish of Saint John Bosco/Our Lady of Mercy. Mr. Arnett is survived by his beloved wife Frances Arnett of Rye Brook, NY., his devoted children Lisa Zadrovicz and husband Tom of Fairfield, CT., Marc Arnett and wife Cheryl of Ridgefield, CT. and James Arnett and GinaMarie Di Fiore of Rye Brook, NY., dear grandchildren Kimberlee Arnett, Alyssa Arnett and Jason Arnett, sister Mary (Babe) Smith of Spring, TX. and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Monday August 23, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Parish of Saint John Bosco/Our Lady of Mercy 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment is private.
