William A. Polese

William A. Polese, 79, a resident of Greenwich, CT. and formerly of Port Chester, NY died unexpectedly on January 15, 2025.  He was born January 26, 1945 in Port Chester, NY.,  to the late Benedetto and Esther Coviello Polese. He was raised and educated in Port Chester and attended Port Chester High School.

William served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965 and was stationed in Vietnam.

He was a welder for Con-Edison Utilities in Rye, NY. William was married on July 12, 1970 in Port Chester to Rita Marlene Seufert.

He was a well known drag racer for over 60 years, and also worked at Lebanon Valley Drag Strip in Lebanon, NY.  William was also known to be a part of Dada Radice's in Port Chester.

He is survived by his wife Rita "Marlene" Polese, sons William Polese and Robert Polese all of Greenwich, CT. brother Ralph "Tombo" Polese of Port Chester, NY., nephew Thomas Polese of Greensboro, NC., and niece Jeannie Kuyper.

Visitation will be 3-7PM on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral service will be held at 6:30PM at the funeral home.
