William "Bill" Chiappetta

William "Bill" Chiappetta, 76, was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. He was a lifelong resident of Port Chester and died October 1, 2022. He was born May 7, 1946 in Port Chester to the late Samuel and Doris Chiappetta.  He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1964.  He served in the United States Army as an MP during the Vietnam War. Bill was a truck driver for Tartaglia Brothers and PM Amusements vending companies in Port Chester, Arctic Glacier Ice in Mamaroneck and finished his career as a maintenance mechanic for Vie de France Bakery in Elmsford, NY.  He was a parishioner of the Parish of Saint John Bosco and was an active member of the Port Chester American Legion Post 93. Bill was known for his huge heart, quick wit and great sense of humor.  
Bill is survived by his beloved son Daniel Chiappetta and his wife Elizabeth of Navarre, Fl., grandchildren Alexia, Gage and Anthony (Jemelyn) Chiappetta, great grandchildren Tyler and Adrianna Chiappetta. He was predeceased by his brother Samuel and sister Joanne Chiappetta.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Thursday October 6, 2022 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Friday October 7, 2022 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY.
