Karen Gail (Roth) Hodge

Karen Gail Roth Hodge, age 57, a long time resident of Port Chester, passed away late November 21st, 2014. She was born June 15th, 1957 in Greenwich, CT to Walter and Vivian Roth. She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1975 and continued to pursue her passion of rocks and minerals at the University of Arizona, where she completed a degree in metal smithing. After receiving a Masters degree from the Gemological Institute of America, she worked at H. Sterns Jewelers and for the American Gemological Laboratories. She then started her own jewelry company creating many works of art for people to wear and enjoy. She married Clifton Hodge on August 2nd, 1998 at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rye Brook, NY, where they also baptised their two wonderful children, Jason and Kara. Overall, Karen was a loving member of a large family, being survived by her husband Cliff, two children Jason (14) and Kara (12), brothers Walter Roth and Suzanne, Thomas Roth and Diane, and Karl Roth, along with sister Patricia Quell and Frederick. She was very proud of her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00PM today, Monday November 24th, 2014 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral service will be on Tuesday November 25th, 2014 at 11:00AM at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, located on the corner of King St. and Comely Ave, Rye Brook, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church.
