I have just now learned about Karen's passing. My sisters and I were friends of Karen at PCHS. We were terribly shocked by her death. She was always such a sweet and caring person. I fondly remember all of the great times we shared at the victory parties and high school dances. Remembering her always brings a smile to my face. Our Friday nights at Playland Ice Rink and our times with her at Rye Beach are my best memories of her and high school. While I haven't seen her in several years, my older sister Maria has kept in touch with Karen. I cannot tell you how extremely devastated we all are about your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with her family and her children as well as with her siblings; Walter, Tommy, Patty, and Karl.

Cliff, Jason, Kara... I am so deeply saddened by this news. I will miss my friend Karen. When Jason was in first grade I taught his class for 3 months while his teacher was on maternity leave. I met Karen that first day and was immediately impressed by her as the most involved mother with tons of support for me in my new position. She came in, brought her gems, sang songs (wada li acha) with the kids, and won my heart. Over the years we got to know each other because Grace and Jason are the same age and were in many activities together. My best memory to share was only 5 months ago on the PCMS Band trip to Dorney Park. Karen and I chaperoned the same bus. To her delight, the kids began chanting, "Momma Hodge! Momma Hodge! Momma Hodge!" in response to her fun-loving way of caring for them on the bus. My condolences and support to all of you and your family. "Momma Hodge" will forever be in my heart. I am so sorry.
